Hyde, Heinz + Simon Richards

Heinz - Baked Beanz in tomato sauce

Arrived in Hyde (Greater Manchester area/N. West) on Monday 12 noon in scorching hot weather.  I sweated my way around the very working class town centre! (loved it!)

Then did a spot of reading over a strawberry milkshake in Morrisons before arriving on the doorstep of Simon Richards and his family!

Simon and I then spent hours talking! Then woke up the next day and spent the whole day talking! Sharing thoughts and concepts and conversations around books we had read (I thought my library was extensive!), mission, church practice, the Kingdom, spheres of society and making disciples.

We got excited as we pulled out a map of  Greater Manchester and viewed the 3L Triangle; Liverpool to the West, Leeds to the North and Lincoln to the East. This is an Apostolic Garden that Simon would love to see planted with simple, reproducible churches and networks- 57 Varieties in fact!
